This is collaborative project created in conjunction with the children of the St. Croix Falls, WI community. During workshops, at Franconia Sculpture Park and the town’s public library, Langsam shared her process of “puzzling” with children. They took small wooden pieces, that she had cut from fallen logs, and placed them together on top of plywood rings. This created the mosaic like appearance in the piece. The installation, which is formed by linking the rings together, is reminiscent the artist’s childhood pastime of creating paper chains.

This project was created while Langsam was in residence at Franconia Sculpture Park in Shafer, MN, during the summer of 2014. It now hangs permanently in the St. Croix Falls Public Library.
